Gynaecological examinations
Gynaecological examinations
Designed for women over the age of 25, regular cervical screening is an important preventive measure, as most abnormal changes in the cervix can be easily treated in the early stages.

Embarrassment is an issue for many women, but you should not let this deter you from regular check-ups, as regular screening tests can vastly reduce your risk of developing cervical cancer.

Rest assured, European doctors are highly professional and skilled at making sure their patients feel safe and comfortable at all stages of the examination.

Under the age of 25 smear tests are not recommended as it does not work well for women aged 20-24. This is because it is common to see changes in your cervix at this age, most of which will go away by themselves and screening at this age could cause problems later.

At Grand-M we will find world-class consultants and surgeons as soon as you need them.
Obstetrics
Obstetrics
When it comes to choosing a maternity hospital, increasing numbers of couples are turning to European clinics, for their world-class facilities and high level of specialist care.

Clinics in Germany and Switzerland, which form the backbone of our maternity programme, have an exceptional reputation for high safety-standards and a sensitive, personalised, approach to childbirth.

All of our clinics ensure mothers-to-be have a full choice of birthing options, from traditional through to more alternative methods, using aromatherapy and homeopathy for pain relief.

Our maternity packages are consultant-led employing a team of specialists including: gynaecologists, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians and other experts.

Prenatal monitoring and scans are provided, along with a stay in the hospital, usually for 5-7 days after a natural delivery and about 10-12 days after a caesarean section.

All of clinics we work with have on-site neonatal intensive care units, in case of a premature birth.

Medical examination of the newborn and postpartum examinations and home visits by a nurse is included.

While staying in the German and Swiss clinics, expectant mothers receive well-balanced nutrition, with diets specifically designed so that their recovery from childbirth is as smooth as possible.
Breast examinations
Breast examinations
A breast health check is a quick and painless way to identify early stage abnormalities, offering the best chance of detecting cancer at an early, more treatable stage.

A clinical breast examination can be offered by a healthcare professional, who especially trained to detect abnormalities, such as changes in skin tissue or differences in the size and shape of your breasts. They will also check for lumps in the breasts, collarbone and underarm area.

Any lumps that are found will be investigated with further diagnostic measures.
If you would like to take screening one step further, we can organise a mammogram at a leading European screening clinic.

Breast cancer screening can be offered to all women over 18 but is increasing relevant to those between 50 and 70 years of age. It also important to check your own breasts for lumps and changes, between screening sessions.
